Despite the absence of main attacker Trần Thị Thanh Thúy due to SEA Games participation, Gunma Green Wings still played excellently by overwhelming Victorina Himeji – ranked third and considered superior – with a 3-0 win (25-18, 28-26, 25-19).
This marks the seventh straight win for the "Green Wings," raising their record to 11 wins and 2 losses, keeping them close to the leaders. What makes this victory even more impressive is that Gunma competed without their top attacker Trần Thị Thanh Thúy. The club allowed Thanh Thúy to return home to join the Vietnamese women's national team preparing for SEA Games 33 in Thailand (expected to be absent for at least two weeks).
Without their main scorer, it was expected that Gunma would face difficulties against Himeji – a team on a four-match unbeaten streak with a very strong offense. However, the Gunma players delivered an almost perfect performance: varied attacks, solid defense, and a fighting spirit at 200%. They kept pressing relentlessly, leaving Himeji almost no chance to execute their game plan.
