On October 20th local time, the ATP 500 Vienna tournament began its main draw competition. The event’s third seed, Deminer, comfortably beat the home wildcard Rodionov 6-4, 6-1 in straight sets, earning his 300th career tour-level victory. With 38 hard-court wins this season, Deminer is the second "post-95" player, following Sinner, to achieve 300 tour wins.

“This feels very special. When you compete on the tennis circuit and progress through your career, there are few moments to truly savor such achievements,” Deminer said after the match. “Reaching 300 wins is undoubtedly a milestone to remember. Clearly, it represents a long journey, and I genuinely cherish every one of these 300 victories.”
Deminer’s second-round opponent will be the winner between Carabelli and local wildcard Misolic. The Australian star is still in a strong position to qualify for the Turin ATP Finals for the second consecutive year, currently ranked seventh in the Turin race with only a 125-point gap behind sixth-placed Shelton.
Fifth seed Khachanov continues to struggle with his recent form, losing in the first round 3-6, 7-5, 4-6 to Dutch player Griekspoor. After reaching the final in this year’s Toronto Masters, he has only managed a 3-6 record and has been defeated in the opening round of his last four tournaments (China Open, Shanghai Rolex Masters, Almaty, and Vienna). Eighth seed Bublyk advanced easily to the second round in Vienna, defeating Tabillo in 68 minutes in their first-ever meeting. He will next face the winner between Serendolo and Mikkelsen.
Griekspoor’s second-round opponent will be Brandon Nakashima, who beat Darderi 6-2, 7-5. Italian qualifier Arnaldi, who overcame Kovacevic 7-5, 6-4, will face the winner between second seed and former champion Zverev and Feinley in the next round.
