The stands were filled with stars, including former US President Donald Trump attending the match, making the showdown even more spectacular. Alcaraz dominated the first set 6-2, while Sinner fought back with a solid baseline game to take the second 6-3. Alcaraz then controlled the last two sets 6-1 and 6-4, sealing the victory with an impressive 42-21 winner count. This marked Alcaraz’s second US Open title and sixth Grand Slam overall. With this win, he surpassed Sinner in the latest world rankings, ending the Italian’s 65-week reign as world No.1.
During the trophy ceremony, the two Rolex ambassadors, both winners of four Grand Slam titles this year, congratulated each other. Alcaraz emotionally thanked his team, family, and fans: “My team, my family... honestly, having you all is my greatest fortune. Your hard work has made me better, and every achievement I’ve earned belongs to you. This trophy is yours as well.”
Speaking about the passionate atmosphere and enthusiastic crowd at the US Open, Alcaraz said: “This tournament means so much to me; just being part of it is an honor. I felt at home here, surrounded by powerful energy and genuine love. That’s what drives me to give my all—you make everything feel effortless.”

As the defending champion, Sinner also delivered a commendable performance. After the final, he reflected: “Today, my shot selection was too predictable, while he (Alcaraz) varied his game constantly, changing the rhythm—that’s his tactical style. Now the choice is mine: should I adapt? This will definitely be a key focus in training going forward. I’ll prepare better for our next encounter.”

Sabalenka showed great dominance this US Open, dropping only one set throughout her six matches on the way to the title. The current WTA No.1 has reached the finals in the last six hard-court Grand Slams, winning four titles and finishing runner-up twice. She is the first woman since Serena Williams (2012-2014) to defend the US Open singles crown.
Sabalenka narrowly missed titles at the Australian Open and French Open this season and did not reach the Wimbledon final, making this trophy even more precious. “It’s truly incredible; all the lessons before make this win extra special. I know many kids from my hometown are watching and cheering for me, which moves me deeply. I can’t let them down—I have to give them positive energy.”

She described it as the most important victory of her life. At the award ceremony, Anisimova said: “It’s been a special summer. Making two Grand Slam finals in a row feels great, but losing both is tough. Today I fought for my dream, but I still have room to improve.”
