Midfielder Hoang Hen shared his joy after scoring his debut goal for Hanoi FC. The naturalized player simultaneously expressed his aspiration to wear the Vietnam national team jersey soon.
On the evening of October 25th, Hanoi FC secured a 3-1 victory against the host Becamex TPHCM in a "waterlogged" match at Go Dau Stadium. Both teams created many dangerous chances, but Hanoi played more effectively.
Notably in this match, naturalized midfielder Do Hoang Hen scored his first goal for the purple-shirted team. In the 50th minute, after a visiting player was fouled inside the penalty area, Hanoi was awarded a penalty. From the spot, Hoang Hen calmly converted to put the visitors ahead 2-1.
Sharing his feelings after the match, Hen said:"I have been waiting for this moment for a long time. I came to Hanoi to play, to score, and to win. So, I am very happy with this goal. Today, we successfully secured 3 points. That is very important."
When asked about coach Harry Kewell, Hen stated: "He encouraged us to keep pushing forward. The rain prevented us from playing our usual style. But today, we played with all our hearts. The whole team fought fiercely. This is essential if we want to win the championship."
"We will give our all to bring Hanoi FC back to its rightful position. The head coach has many ideas, and we always strive to work with him towards the team's goals,"Hoang Hen added regarding the team's objectives.
Finally, Hoang Hen also thanked the fans for their constant love and support. The player born in 1994 confirmed he is ready to play for the Vietnam national team if given the opportunity.
For Hanoi FC, the 3 points moved them up to 6th place on the league table with 11 points. In the next round, coach Harry Kewell's squad will visit Hong Linh Ha Tinh's stadium.
