Lê Văn Đô received the best player award in the game between CAHN and Macarthur.
CAHN hosted Macarthur at home in the third round of the AFC Champions League Two on the evening of October 23, aiming solely for a full 3-point victory. This opponent was currently out of form, and CAHN needed a win to maintain top position and secure early qualification for the knockout stage.
CAHN kept the pressure on the visitors throughout the first half and finally found the opening goal in the 30th minute. From a successful ball recovery by Adou Minh, Lê Văn Đôquickly seized the opportunity and delivered a decisive close-range shot, putting the home team CAHN ahead1-0.
Throughout the entire match, Lê Văn Đô also made the right wing his main attacking route, creating numerous dangerous plays. Playing as a right winger, Lê Văn Đô demonstrated his strength in constantly moving up and down the flank. The midfielder born in 2001 played the full 90 minutes and was chosen as the best player of the match by the organizers after the game.
Speaking about his goal against Macarthur, Lê Văn Đô said: "Today's goal has lifted a huge psychological burden off me. I had many chances in previous matches but couldn't score. This goal has relieved me and restored my confidence to face the upcoming matches."
This is Lê Văn Đô's first goal of the season. The midfielder born in 2001 has played 6 matches in the V-League, 1 National Cup match, 2 Southeast Asian Club Cup matches, and 3 AFC Cup 2 matches (total 12 matches), but only today did he manage to break his scoring drought.
In the next round, CAHN will travel to Australia to face Macarthur away. The Vietnamese representative needs a win to maintain the top spot and secure early qualification in the AFC Cup 2. Lê Văn Đô is expected to remain a key player on CAHN’s right flank.
