(Football result) - Arsenal showed dominant power by beating Atletico Madrid 4-0 at the Emirates, continuing their perfect run in the 2025/26 Champions League group phase.
In the early hours of October 22 (Vietnam time), Arsenal hosted Atletico Madrid at Emirates Stadium in the third group stage match of the 2025/26 Champions League. With passionate support from the home crowd, coach Mikel Arteta’s squad delivered fiery attacking football.
From the opening minutes, the “Gunners” took control of the game. Eberechi Eze nearly scored in the 5th minute when his shot hit the post. At the 57th minute, the home side’s persistent attacks paid off as Declan Rice delivered a precise cross for defender Gabriel to head in the opening goal 1-0. After scoring, Arsenal grew more confident while Atletico’s defense appeared disorganized.

In the 64th minute, Myles Lewis-Skelly played a clever through ball to Gabriel Martinelli, who doubled the lead with a neat finish. Not stopping there, Viktor Gyökeres scored twice within six minutes to seal an emphatic 4-0 victory. His third goal came from a deflected shot that left goalkeeper Jan Oblak helpless, and the fourth was scored after a well-coordinated corner kick with Gabriel.
Atletico Madrid struggled to respond. Late attempts from Julian Alvarez, Thiago Almada, and Antoine Griezmann were all thwarted by David Raya.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid dropped to 18th place with just 3 points from 3 matches, facing the risk of early elimination if their form doesn’t improve. The 4-0 triumph at Emirates further confirms Arsenal as strong contenders for the top spot in this year’s Champions League group stage.
