Barcelona will have to pay €5 million if they don't make Rashford's transfer permanent! Manchester United may consider extending Sancho's contract if he performs well.

Last week, Spanish media reported that Barcelona were dissatisfied with Rashford, whom they borrowed from Manchester United, and were thinking about returning him next year. However, Rashford's agent team denied these claims. Additionally, reports say that if Barcelona opts not to buy the 27-year-old English winger next year, they will have to pay Manchester United a €5 million (£4.3 million) compensation, just like the early termination in January.

Although Barcelona did not pay a loan fee for Rashford during the summer window, and the €30 million buyout clause next year is optional rather than mandatory, the club currently only covers Rashford’s salary, with the player having accepted a pay cut. However, the contract also stipulates that the La Liga defending champions cannot use the player for free for an entire year.

Another Manchester United loanee might return next summer. The 25-year-old Sancho rejected a permanent transfer offer and only agreed to join Aston Villa on a one-season loan, which has hindered Manchester United's chance to acquire Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez.

It is said that Sancho and his agent are eyeing a substantial signing bonus, which would be guaranteed to them if the player leaves Old Trafford as a free agent next year. Reports indicate that Manchester United are considering activating a one-year contract extension option to prevent this scenario.

However, this depends on Sancho performing well after joining Villa, as Villa might then consider making his move permanent. Moreover, other top clubs are also interested in competing for him. Several teams have sent scouts to monitor Sancho's development at Villa Park, and if he performs strongly, more clubs are expected to join the race.

Transfer expert Pete O'Rourke from "Football Insider" explained that Sancho’s performance during the loan season could determine his future, with clubs closely watching him now.

“Many top clubs are closely monitoring Sancho to see how he performs at Villa, especially since many showed interest in him this summer. Two seasons ago, his loan spell at Dortmund was very successful, but last year at Chelsea he underperformed and his wage demands were too high, leading Chelsea to decide against a permanent transfer,” he said.

He added, “Clubs like Dortmund and Juventus were very interested in Sancho during the summer. If his loan at Villa proves successful, interest in him will continue next year. His talent is undeniable, and he hopes to regain his best form. This is also good for Manchester United, as it could attract other clubs and potentially increase his value before next summer.”

It’s still uncertain how Sancho will perform at Villa, and one new teammate is definitely unhappy about it — 32-year-old Martínez. The Argentine goalkeeper was disappointed not to join Manchester United. Nevertheless, coach Unai Emery urged Martínez to focus and work hard to reclaim his place in the first team, promising to give him the starting spot if he concentrates on playing well.

One thing is clear: no Manchester United fans want Sancho back, as Old Trafford already has new wingers Cunha and Mbemou. The latter has scored twice, including a goal in the 3-2 win over Burnley that was named the club's best goal of August, and he himself was voted player of the month.

Mbemou also recorded the second fastest sprint speed in the first three rounds of the Premier League, reaching a top speed of 36.3 km/h during the 1-1 draw with Fulham.

After Manuel Ugarte’s long clearance, Mbemou sprinted full speed into the opponent’s half and nearly won the ball ahead of Fulham defender Anthony Robinson, but the defender managed to clear it first. Only Wolverhampton defender Jackson Charsua (37.3 km/h) sprinted faster than Mbemou on that occasion.

The top five sprint speeds also include two other former Manchester United players: Newcastle’s Anthony Elanga (36 km/h) and Leeds’ Daniel James (36.1 km/h). Interestingly, almost none of these five fastest sprints ended with ball control, except for Elanga who successfully gained possession.

However, this doesn’t stop fans from appreciating the players’ full effort and determination. Attitude is everything, and what people cannot accept is the slow pace and play often shown by Sancho.
