After chairman Daniel Levy stepped down, Tottenham declined two bids to buy the club and affirmed that it is not for sale.

Tottenham’s management stated they firmly rejected two proposals to acquire the club and confirmed it will not be listed for sale.

Recently, Daniel Levy left his position as Spurs chairman after the majority owners ENIC, part of the Lewis family trust, asked him to step down from the role he had held since 2001. This move sparked speculation about a potential takeover of Tottenham, with former Newcastle co-owner Amanda Staveley repeatedly linked through PCP International Finance to a possible purchase of the North London club over the past year.

In a statement released on September 7, Tottenham’s leadership confirmed they had “received and firmly rejected” preliminary offers to buy all issued and to-be-issued shares held by ENIC.

The statement further emphasized: “The club’s board and ENIC affirm that Tottenham Hotspur is not for sale and ENIC has no intention of accepting any offers to acquire their stake in the club.”

Last year, former chairman Levy revealed the club had negotiated with “potential investors” about selling a minority share, although talks with Qatar Sports Investments were denied.

According to PA, the Lewis family trust remains open to outside investment. However, after asking Levy to step down in an effort to help Tottenham achieve more frequent victories, the main goal of the majority owners is to support the new leadership team—including non-executive chairman Peter Charrington, CEO Vinai Venkatesham, and head coach Thomas Frank (all appointed in 2025)—to bring greater success on the pitch.
