With almost no points gained during the September FIFA Days and neighboring teams like Tanzania and Tajikistan making significant progress, Thailand risks falling below the 102nd position globally and may struggle to return to the FIFA top 100 once this competition phase concludes.

According to official information from the Football Association of Thailand (FAT), FIFA confirmed that the King's Cup 2025 is classified as an 'A' category tournament, counting as a FIFA Tier 1 ranking event. Matches in this tournament are considered official FIFA Days friendlies, contributing points to the FIFA rankings, likely with a coefficient of 10 (I=10).

'FIFA's 'A' international matches stem from FIFA's aim to organize and standardize the world ranking point system, also known as the FIFA rankings, to make it more reliable and accurate. These 'A' category internationals are divided into three levels: 1, 2, and 3, with importance increasing from low to high across these levels.

Matches in the King's Cup are assigned a coefficient of 10, equal to official international friendlies. Unfortunately, Thailand could not capitalize on this to boost their FIFA ranking. In October, Thailand will play two matches against Taiwan in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
