Andre Onana has accepted a loan move from MU to Trabzonspor until the season’s end. Notably, the Cameroonian goalkeeper will earn double his previous salary due to signing fees and bonuses.
The Cameroonian goalkeeper is expected to travel to Turkey on Thursday after the two clubs complete the formalities. Importantly, MU will not receive a loan fee, nor is there an option to buy in this loan agreement, which expires on June 30. Onana’s current wage at MU is £120,000 per week but is reduced by 25% because MU is not participating in European competitions.
Onana’s future at Old Trafford has been uncertain throughout the summer, especially as MU has been actively searching for a new goalkeeper. Ultimately, they signed Senne Lammens from Antwerp for £21.7 million last week.
