He was one of the strongest goalkeepers in the Champions League during his Inter Milan days, but struggled to adapt after joining Manchester United, frequently gifting opponents with mistakes.Onana earns a weekly pre-tax wage of £120,000 at Manchester United, which amounts to approximately £6.24 million before tax annually.During the loan period, Manchester United and Trabzonspor will share responsibility for Onana’s salary.

A change of environment can revive a player; Onana might flourish at Trabzonspor. Manchester United also hopes he regains form. With three years left on his contract, if Onana performs well in Turkey, United can sell him in next summer’s transfer window to recoup some of their investment.
