Nguyễn Xuân Bắc, midfielder of Vietnam’s U23 national team, is preparing alongside his teammates for the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup qualifiers (Group C), showing strong determination as the tournament is held in their hometown of Phú Thọ.
"This is my first time playing in my hometown, and I hope the fans will come to support not only me but the entire team so we can achieve the best possible results. I left home when I was young, so people back home mostly watch on TV. This time, playing in Phú Thọ, my family and neighbors can come to the stadium in person to cheer, which will be a huge inspiration for me. I’m very proud of my homeland, Phú Thọ," Xuân Bắc said.
His recent experience at the U23 Southeast Asian Championship was quite new for Xuân Bắc and marked the first time he played extensively for the national team. "That was a great motivation for me to keep working hard and improve," he added.

Xuân Bắc is a midfielder with strong organizational skills, intelligent play, mobility, and the ability to escape pressing. Although not physically dominant, he successfully takes on the role of "midfield commander," helping Vietnam’s U23 play with both smoothness and solidity. His impressive performance at the 2025 U23 Southeast Asian Championship earned him a place in the tournament’s Best XI, making him the only central midfielder from Vietnam included in this list.
Nguyễn Xuân Bắc’s presence in the Vietnam U23 team at Việt Trì is not only personally significant but also a source of pride for Phú Thọ fans. The stands filled with red and enthusiastic cheering will provide great motivation for Xuân Bắc and his teammates to continue shining and create unforgettable memories right in their homeland.
In the 2024/25 National First Division, Xuân Bắc was also selected in the Best XI as a central midfielder, alongside senior player Nguyễn Hoàng Đức — one of the brightest stars in Vietnamese football. Within just one year, the young player from Phú Thọ has been honored at both club and national levels, proving his remarkable growth.
According to the match schedule, U23 Vietnam will face U23 Bangladesh (September 3), U23 Singapore (September 6), and U23 Yemen (September 9). All matches will be held at Việt Trì Stadium – Phú Thọ.
To serve the fans, tickets for the matches are exclusively sold online via the OneU app with three price options: 100,000 VND, 200,000 VND, and 300,000 VND. The ticket sales are divided into three phases, lasting from August 25 to September 5, depending on each match.
With a youthful and ambitious squad, along with thorough preparation, U23 Vietnam promises to deliver dedicated performances and greatly needs passionate support from the audience to fuel their strength on the path to qualify for the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup finals.
