Nguyễn Lê Quang Khôi scored once in Ho Chi Minh City Football Club's victory at the U17 National qualifiers.

On August 30th, the 2025 U17 National Championship qualifiers continued with exciting matches in the 7th round. This round clearly showed the divide in the groups, as the top contenders started to pull ahead while the chasing teams struggled to keep their hopes alive.

In Group D, Ho Chi Minh City Football Club reinforced their strength with a 2-1 win over Tây Ninh, maintaining the top spot with 17 points. An Giang also demonstrated resilience by defeating Đồng Nai 2-1 to stay close with 12 points. After a slow start, Becamex TP.HCM bounced back with a 3-0 victory against Vĩnh Long, climbing to third place.

Notably, one of the two goals for U17 Ho Chi Minh City was scored by Nguyễn Lê Quang Khôi, son of former striker Quang Hải, the 2008 AFF Cup champion. Nguyễn Lê Quang Khôi is a promising forward, regularly called up to Vietnam's U16/U17 national teams.

In Group A, at the Viettel Sports Center, Viettel Army easily defeated TTBĐ Đào Hà 3-0, securing their lead position. Meanwhile, the match between Huế and Hanoi Police ended in a balanced 1-1 draw, leaving both teams stuck in the chase for the top group positions.

Group B at PVF saw PVF-CAND dominate with a 5-0 win over Đông Á Thanh Hóa, confirming their top status with 17 points. At the same time, Sông Lam Nghệ An displayed explosive form by beating Luxury Hạ Long 6-0, keeping pressure on the leaders. In the other game, Thép Xanh Nam Định narrowly defeated Hải Phòng 1-0 to join the direct competition group.

Group C was thrilling at Hàm Rồng. HAGL continued their consistent performance with a 3-0 win over Quảng Ngãi, strengthening their lead and extending their unbeaten streak. Meanwhile, Gia Lai caused an upset by defeating TP.HCM 3-1, moving into second place and raising hopes in the race for qualification.
