LPL champion mid laner suffers a crushing defeat, fans shout "match-fixing"! JDG owner becomes a laughingstock, and the coach did his best

Hello to all LPL viewers and League of Legends summoners, this is Tianxia Game Report.

Yesterday, the LPL officially began the third stage playoffs, holding two BO5 series with very different trajectories: the first match saw a stunning reverse sweep from 0-2 to 3-2, while the second was a straightforward sweep.

In the match where JDG lost to BLG, Scout's extremely poor performance caused quite a stir.

Champion mid laner suffers a devastating loss, fans cry "match-fixing"

At the start of the JDG vs BLG match yesterday, JDG showed excellent form, ending the first two games within 27 minutes each. The coach’s draft plans were well received by the audience. In the first game, Xiaoxu's Rumble played heroically, making a decisive mid-lane engage that gave JDG a huge advantage.

In the second game, Xun once again picked his signature Kindred, gaining early advantages. Although BLG fought back mid-game, JDG quickly overwhelmed them and secured another win, pushing BLG into a dire situation.

However, in the third game, the situation reversed dramatically. Mid laner Scout picked Taliyah but made a critical mistake during laning—low health and no mana, he failed to return to base and was easily solo killed by Knight. BLG ran a nightmare comp, repeatedly targeting mid lane. After Scout’s first solo death, he died repeatedly, ending 0-4.

Scout’s poor play gave BLG a clear opening, and they relentlessly exploited JDG’s weakness, leaving the audience shocked at Scout’s performance.

At the start of the fourth game, Scout’s Yone was once again solo killed. The crowd became restless, loudly accusing the match of being fixed, feeling Scout’s performance was unbelievably bad and beyond just “bad play.”

The coach did his best, but JDG’s owner has become a laughingstock

Fans suspect match-fixing by Scout not only because he was solo killed in games 3 and 4, but also due to his poor performance even in the first two games JDG won. For example, in the first game, his Galio seemed to roam aimlessly without making significant contributions.

In the second game, playing mid Alistar, despite the team having a big lead, Scout ventured alone into the jungle and gave away a kill, allowing BLG to counterattack and nearly equalize the game.

With JDG leading 2-0, Scout repeatedly gave away kills. Coupled with BLG’s momentum and their special tactical picks, the match was dragged to a deciding game. In the final game, Scout chose mid Twisted Fate, but the card strategy failed to work, and BLG’s Caitlyn comp defeated them, completing the reverse sweep.

After the match, many called for an investigation into Scout’s account activity to understand what was going on. As a former champion mid laner, his current performance cannot be explained by simply calling him “Xu Ge’s champion mid.”

Overall, the coach’s drafts were as good as they could be in this BO5, but JDG’s owner has completely become a joke.

Scout ranks at the bottom, becoming JDG’s biggest weakness

In recent years, Scout has been involved in off-field disputes with EDG, including lawsuits and financial debts, leading some to speculate that he might be involved in match-fixing to repay debts. However, there were rumors that JDG’s owner, Blue Lotus, stepped in to help Scout resolve these issues.

If these rumors are true, then JDG’s owner truly looks foolish. Even if he didn’t intervene, last transfer window JDG showed great trust in Scout, hoping he would bring the team back to the top. But this year’s results clearly show Scout has not performed as expected.

Personally, I think Scout currently ranks near the bottom among quarterfinal mid laners. If JDG had a more reliable mid laner in this BO5, their chances of winning would have been much higher.

Since forming this year, JDG has faced many challenges, including cvMAX’s departure and possible internal conflicts. The outstanding performances of top laner Ale and support Missing have at times shocked fans. By the third stage, JDG’s roster adjustments mostly solved the top and support issues, but Scout has become the team’s biggest liability.

Of course, JDG still has opportunities ahead, but Scout must regain his form for JDG to have a chance at qualifying for the World Championship.
