In the LPL playoffs BO5 between IG and EDG, after three hard-fought games, IG triumphed over EDG 3-0 to advance, while EDG dropped to the losers' bracket, still having a chance to fight back.

In the first game, IG’s top lane was Alora, jungle Nayafeli, mid lane Shahuang, and bot lane Kaisa with Neeko; EDG’s lineup featured top lane Graves, jungle Troll, mid lane Taliyah, and bot lane Aphelios with Rell. The laning phase saw back-and-forth exchanges with early economy nearly even.

Mid-game, IG secured the Elder Dragon. The teams traded blows until around 30 minutes, when theshy’s Alora was caught and instantly killed. IG swiftly took the first Baron, then after killing three EDG players, they secured the Earth Dragon soul. At 34 minutes, IG wiped EDG at the base and, with steady play, claimed the first game victory. Gala’s Kaisa dealt the highest damage in this match.

In the second game, EDG’s lineup was top lane Sion, jungle Zhao Xin, mid lane Orianna, and bot lane Varus with Braum; IG fielded top lane Aatrox, jungle Vi, mid lane Annie, and bot lane Yunya with Alistar. During laning, Ahn’s Varus solo killed Gala’s Yunya mid. In the subsequent dragon fight, theshy’s Aatrox flanked, and IG secured a 1-for-3 trade, pushing down the first bottom tower early and gaining a 2K gold lead.

Mid-game, both teams contested the dragon. Meiko’s Alistar initiated perfectly, with Rookie and theshy flanking. IG executed a flawless 5-for-0 team wipe on EDG and secured the dragon buff. At 25 minutes, IG took Elder Dragon and the Cloud Dragon soul. At 27 minutes, IG caught and killed Ahn’s Varus mid, then took the first Baron. Finally, at 29 minutes, IG eliminated EDG’s mid and jungle at the base to win the second game. The MVP was awarded to theshy’s Aatrox.

In the third game, EDG’s lineup included top lane Renekton, jungle Sylas, mid lane Ryze, and bot lane Senna with Tahm Kench; IG’s lineup was top lane Jayce, jungle Zed, mid lane Twisted Fate, and bot lane Rakan with Xayah. During laning, wei’s Zed in the jungle solo killed xiaohao’s Sylas. In the following skirmishes, IG’s faster rotations secured multiple small fights, pushing down the first bottom tower early, taking one dragon, and gaining a 3K gold lead.

Mid-game, both teams fought over the Elder Dragon. Xiaohao’s Sylas was instantly killed upon entering, and theshy’s Jayce was traded out. In a 4v4, IG executed perfect kiting with wei’s Zed dancing around, resulting in a 5-for-1 team wipe and claiming the Elder Dragon. At 26 minutes, IG attempted Baron; EDG arrived to contest and pushed IG back, but Tahm Kench initiated the fight. GALA’s Xayah unleashed unstoppable damage, securing a triple kill as IG took the first Baron. At 29 minutes, IG wiped four EDG members at the base and secured the match victory.
