Hello everyone, I’m Gamer Xiaodi.
This time, we’ll zoom in on Shao Siyuan’s latest skin, Wuli Shishen. Many players think it doesn’t live up to expectations. Even though it’s an epic skin that can be instantly purchased for 60 coupons, the effects seem to fall short of what fans hoped for. So, is that really true? Next, Xiaodi will compare two epic skins of Shao Siyuan, Wuli Shishen and Tushan Honghong, to see how they actually perform.
On the poster, Wuli Shishen clearly looks more practical. The pose design is highly innovative—such a style hasn’t appeared before in King’s posters. The overall composition is quite good, making the visual experience very pleasing. As for Tushan Honghong, perhaps because it’s a Valentine’s Day skin, the poster features Dongfang Yuechu. The two characters appear a bit crowded, standing side by side, which looks rather ordinary.
Regarding the modeling, Wuli Shishen’s model is quite detailed this time, but the tight pants design on the lower body looks somewhat odd, which many players have noticed. As for Tushan Honghong, since it fully replicates the anime appearance, there isn’t much to critique. Overall, both skins maintain the large-sleeved robe design. It would be great if this anchor point could have some breakthroughs or innovations, but epic skins are indeed challenging to improve.
Looking closely, Wuli Shishen’s effects aren’t actually bad. The elements are inspired by the Sanxingdui bronze artifacts, but visually it’s not as appealing as Tushan Honghong. This is mainly because the bronze artifact theme is unfamiliar to most players, many of whom have never seen them in real life, so it doesn’t resonate as much. Additionally, the overall effects of this skin are quite subtle, which is the standard for all tenth-anniversary limited skins—likely to match the bronze artifact style. However, Xiaodi really likes the effect when the first and second skills hit multiple targets; it looks very impressive.
As for Tushan Honghong, its overall performance is indeed better. The blue-green colors are clearer, and the elements are all from the anime. For example, the first skill’s hammer is the Yimeng Hammer, the second skill is Tushan Yaya’s wine gourd, and the third skill even includes the sorrowful tree. Fans of the anime will find these very familiar and endearing. Another highlight of this skin is the second skill’s follow-up attack, which has been changed to a fox claw tear effect, fitting perfectly with the anime’s design. This feature is unique among all skins.
Overall, Wuli Shishen’s performance is slightly inferior to Tushan Honghong, but as an epic skin, it is still completely adequate. Besides, since this skin costs only 60 coupons in its first week, getting such effects at this price is already very good. Apart from the Yuanmeng series, it’s one of the best-performing skins.
That’s all for today. If you liked it, please give a thumbs up to support. If you have anything to say, ask, or want to see, leave your comments below—I read them all~
