After waiting for a week, the last match of the KPL Summer Season, the grand final between AG Super Play and WB, is about to start! Before the game, many fans have made their predictions. Most people back AG Super Play to come out on top. But WB’s ability to fight through the losers’ bracket to reach the final demonstrates their formidable power!
Let’s review the ratings given by fans comparing the players and coaches from both teams!
Top Lane:Xuanran 6 : Zimo 4
Xuanran’sthe strongest in the solo lane, what makes him so strong? A perfect balance between split-pushing and team fights. He can pressure opponents while pushing lanes and times his team fight clean-ups very well. Almost no other top laner can compare. Some excel at team fights, others at split-pushing, but it’s hard to catch him slipping.
Zimo:A prodigy in the side lane, the king without a crown. His greatest strength is a flawless hero pool, mastering both warrior and tank roles, able to be the core or a support. This season’s strongest Meng Tian proves this. His biggest issue is not understanding split-pushing well. Compared to Qingqing and Xuanran, he has been caught off-guard multiple times. For WB to win, Zimo must perform as brilliantly as he did against Wolf Team, or even better.
Jungle:Zhongyi 6.5 : Nuanyang 3.5
Nuanyang:A jungle veteran, the representative of assassin junglers. Although he has a wide hero pool, compared to Zhongyi’s all-around skills, there are two main issues: first, age has affected his mechanics—his signature mirror play is no longer as sharp as younger players. Second, his tank jungler play is often disconnected with the team and his positioning is weak. He doesn’t quite fulfill the "support" role well. His only advantage is experience with assassin junglers; Nakoruru and Miyamoto Musashi are still manageable.
Zhongyi:Unquestionably the top jungler. His jungle core mechanics are unbeatable, with perfect positioning, initiation, and tempo control. I think Zhongyi’s only issue this season is a somewhat unstable mentality. The EWC FMVP title has had an impact, both external factors and personal ones. Maybe he fears winning too many FMVPs. This might be his only vulnerability.
Mid Lane:Changsheng 5.5 : Tingyue 4.5
Changsheng: A cut above all other mids. Any contemporary mid laner faces a huge gap against Changsheng. His mage assassins and utility picks are extremely dominant. The only way to limit him is through his physical condition, but a BO7 isn’t a BO9 series.
Tingyue: WB’s strongest point. Even though the top and jungle players have won many MVPs, I still believe Tingyue was crucial for WB’s rise from Group A to the S group and eventually the finals. Don’t underestimate his current strength with mage cores like Xiao Qiao and Nu Wa—he earned three consecutive MVPs when he first debuted playing utility and assassin mids.
Marksman:Yinuo 7 : Xiaomai 3
Yinuo: The “founder of the Yinuo style,” who has evolved beyond just seeking opportunities and commanding. He can protect himself well, his outstanding marksman skills make him untouchable. Other Yinuo-style players are still figuring out how to be flashy, but the founder has already reached the next level.
Xiaomai: The “third generation Yinuo,” carrying on the tradition of “seeking opportunities and commanding.” Xiaomai’s regular season performance was nerve-wracking, but in the playoffs, he transformed. He still makes mistakes, but he truly finds opportunities. Coach Laolin’s fondness for him might mean his leadership is genuinely important.
Support:
Dashuai: A detail fanatic, Dashuai is still very pure, skilled at research and analysis. With AG’s mid and jungle gaps, the support role is also lacking depth, but he might be the strongest support in history.
Mengxi: Very good at initiating fights, earning Coach Laolin’s favor shows his good game understanding. Two fatal issues: poor protection of teammates, possibly because Xiaomai dies a lot, but you can’t blame the marksman for not scouting bushes.
Even though AG holds a comprehensive advantage, netizens still believe that if WB takes the first game, there is a high chance they can end AG’s consecutive championships. What do you think?
Have you noticed Zhao Yun’s high pick rate in high-level matches? First, Zhao Yun’s ultimate now restores the electric shock effect. Whenever his ultimate hits an enemy, it applies an electric shock effect. Following up with abilities one and two on the enemy deals additional magic damage. The burst damage is extremely high; basically, whoever is hit by the ultimate can be instantly killed.
The most outrageous change is his first ability. Now, whenever Zhao Yun loses one health tier, the cooldown of his first skill resets immediately, and the refreshed skill can be stored. A Zhao Yun who keeps losing health tiers can use the first skill up to three times in a row. Combined with the ultimate’s displacement, that’s four displacements, enabling him to dive in and out of team fights seven times. This buff has made Zhao Yun rise dramatically, with pick and win rates soaring. I highly recommend everyone try playing him.
