Midway through the quarter, momentum shifted as the Grizzlies caught fire, going on an 18-2 run to take the lead, while the Warriors went through a lengthy scoring drought. The quarter ended with the Grizzlies up 37-36 by one point.

In the second quarter, the Warriors opened with a 6-2 run to regain the lead, but Spencer’s three-pointer tied the game again. Butler responded immediately, and the Grizzlies answered with a 7-0 run to retake the lead. The Warriors countered with their own 7-0 run to lead once more. From there, the teams exchanged baskets in a back-and-forth battle, with the score tied at 59 near the final two minutes. The Warriors then scored from multiple players to pull ahead. At halftime, the Warriors led 65-61 by 4 points.

In the third quarter, the Warriors kept scoring to widen the gap, but the Grizzlies refused to back down and kept closing in.
