A fourth undefeated champion is about to be crowned! Turkey and Germany will face off in the final at midnight on the 15th: Şengün aims for the team's first-ever title.

In the FIBA EuroBasket semifinals, Germany beat Finland 98-86, and Turkey triumphed over Greece 94-68. The two teams will battle for the EuroBasket title at 2:00 AM Beijing time on September 15. It is worth mentioning that both finalists — Turkey and Germany — have achieved an outstanding 8-0 record so far in this tournament (5 wins in the group stage and 3 wins in the playoffs).

Since the start of this century, only Yugoslavia (6-0 in 2001), Lithuania (6-0 in 2003), and Slovenia (9-0 in 2017) have won the championship undefeated. Among these three perfect runs, only Slovenia's 2017 victory was achieved under the current competition format.

During the group stage, Turkey defeated Latvia 93-73, Czech Republic 92-78, Portugal 95-54, Estonia 84-64, and Serbia 95-90. In the knockout rounds, they overcame Sweden 85-79, Poland 91-77, and crushed Greece 94-68.

Germany dominated the group stage with wins over Montenegro 106-76, Sweden 105-83, Lithuania 107-88, the United Kingdom 120-57, and Finland 91-61. In the playoffs, they comfortably beat Portugal 85-58, edged Slovenia 99-91, and defeated Finland again 98-86.

Turkey reached the final in 2001 but fell short of winning the EuroBasket title. Germany seeks to achieve the double crown of the World Cup and EuroBasket. Whichever team lifts the trophy will become the fourth undefeated champion. This game promises excitement, as Şengün leads Turkey against Germany’s stars Schröder and Wagner. Who will emerge victorious? Let’s wait and see.
