At last, you’ve arrived, and luckily, we held on.
After all this time of speculation, it’s finally resolved.
According to NBA reporter Murrows,Horford has reached a two-year deal worth $11.7 million with the Warriors, including a player option for the second year.
Now that the Warriors are allowed to sign players, it implies that Kuminga’s situation will soon be clarified.
Born on June 3, 1986, Horford is now 39 years old. The 2007 third overall pick has averaged 31.6 minutes per game in his NBA career, putting up 12.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.1 blocks, with shooting splits of 50.9% field goals, 37.7% three-pointers, and 76.3% free throws; in the playoffs, he averages 33.7 minutes, 11.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.2 blocks, shooting 49.3%, 39.1%, and 77.5% respectively.
Last season, Horford played for the Celtics, averaging 9 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game in the regular season, hitting 1.9 three-pointers per game on 36.3% shooting; in the playoffs, he averaged 8 points, 6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.3 blocks, knocking down 1.3 threes per game at 40% accuracy. He still has plenty of fuel left, and his addition will significantly boost the Warriors’ interior depth, at least filling the gap left by Looney’s departure.
Throughout his NBA career, Horford’s accolades include winning the 2023-24 championship with the Celtics, one selection to the All-NBA Third Team (2010-11), one All-Defensive Second Team nod (2017-18), and five All-Star appearances (2009-10, 2010-11, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2017-18), among others.
Indeed, Horford was an All-Star caliber player at his peak, especially during his time with the Hawks. For example, in the 2012-13 season, he averaged 17.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game — a versatile inside presence with some playmaking skills. Starting from the 2015-16 season, adapting to the small-ball era, he developed a reliable outside shot, with his best shooting year being 2022-23 with the Celtics, where he made 2.3 three-pointers per game at 44.6% accuracy.
Excluding his contract with the Warriors, Horford’s total career earnings have reached $286 million. What’s even more enviable is that he has a supermodel wife; they’re a perfect match, both highly attractive.
