Los Angeles Dodgers farm system rising star Kendall George has become the fourth player in nearly two decades in the minor leagues to steal 100 bases in a single season.

A speedster has emerged from the Los Angeles Dodgers farm! The 20-year-old rookie Kendall George achieved his 100th stolen base of the season in High-A level competition, marking him as the fourth minor leaguer in the last 20 years to reach this milestone.

George, who was promoted to High-A for the first time this season, has recorded 125 hits over 111 games and successfully stolen bases 101 times out of 125 attempts, boasting a success rate of 0.808.

This accomplishment puts George alongside Delino DeShields Jr., ranking fourth on the minor league single-season stolen base leaderboard. The three players ahead of him are Billy Hamilton, with 155 and 103 steals, and Chandler Simpson with 104. Notably, George’s team still has three games left, giving him a strong chance to surpass Simpson’s total.

In an interview with the MLB official website, George said, “This year, I’ve realized stealing bases isn’t just about running recklessly; it requires more skill. Even though I know I’m fast, I keep refining my stealing techniques.” He also admitted that despite reaching 100 steals, being caught over 20 times shows there’s room for improvement.
